Introducing the ClearWin escalator handrail steriliser system
Effortlessly eliminating 99.99% of harmful surface germs, all day, every day
Keeping escalator handrails clean
As we enter a new era in public hygiene, the need to minimise the risk of contagion is at the forefront of our consciousness as a society. The general public uses transport hubs such as train stations, offices, airports and shopping centres thousands of times a day. However, most, if not all, escalators are only sanitized once a day through the use of chemical cleaning fluid, leaving public handrails at risk of spreading harmful bacteria and viruses. With this in mind, GHI Architectural Solutions are proud to introduce a new solution to South Africa:
The ClearWin UVC escalator steriliser system.
Our unique, fixed cleaning unit, for escalator and moving walkway handrails, is capable of reducing the spread of germs and viruses by killing 99.99% of germs held on fomite surfaces.
The benefits of a UVC handrail sanitiser
Our state-of-the-art sterilising unit is a great supplement to good public hygiene practices. It is also completely energy efficient.
Powered by the rotational force of the escalator handrail, it requires no electrical connection whatsoever. The internal UV lamp has an estimated lifespan of 10,000 hours, meaning it is highly cost-effective too.
NO ELECTRICITY REQUIRED
The system generates power through the motion of the handrail.
10,000 HOUR LIFESPAN
Minimal maintenance costs with 10,000 hours of germicidal lamp life.
FITS ALL ESCALATOR TYPES
Adjustable design caters for any variation in escalator and moving walkway design.
Lightweight, simple design blends seamlessly into the environment.
Discrete operation without hindering the flow or movement of passengers.
The ClearWin system can be installed while the escalator is in motion without change to mechanical operation.
Consistent UV handrail sterilisation
Our UV handrail sanitiser kills 99.99% of germs through UV light alone.
